INTRODUCTION:

          The Directorate of Industries & Commerce is located in Thattanchavady Industrial Estate, Puducherry. The Administrative Secretary for the Industries department is Shri Jayanta Kumar Ray, I.A.S., The Directorate of Industries and Commerce is headed by the Director of Industries and Commerce, assisted by the Deputy Director( Technical) and Deputy Director(Administration ). There is a Sub-Office in Karaikal region headed by the Assistant Director, Karaikal. The Sub- Offices in Mahe and Yanam are managed by the Technical Officers.
